A 911 call came in around 8:20 a.m. about a shooter at the 5226 Simon Rd. store. However, by 9 a.m. Walmart was cleared by law enforcement, who have determined there were no shots fired and there is no public threat.

The store is open but Wilmington Police Department have an increased presence at area stores in town throughout the rest of the holiday season.
