WILMINGTON — A domestic violence-related incident left two people dead an apartment complex on Wilshire Boulevard Tuesday.

Delonte Reed, 40, and Eureka McDonald, 46, were found dead around 11 a.m. in an apparent murder-suicide, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

WPD was called to the scene at Hanover Landing Apartments, 3427 Wilshire Boulevard, in response to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a male and female deceased by gunshot wounds.

“Due to the nature of the scene and evidence, we can determine that this is an isolated incident and poses no danger to the public,” WPD released in a statement Tuesday evening, noting the investigation is ongoing. “It is essential to piece together the circumstances that led up to this incident.”

More information will be released as available.
