Monday, Oct. 27
The New Hanover County Schools Curriculum Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. An agenda was not posted by press.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
The New Hanover County Board of Education will hold an agenda review at 2 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- School improvement plans
- Security camera contract
- Facilities condition assessment contract
The New Hanover County Board of Elections will meet Oct. 28, 5 p.m., in the Multipurpose Room at the Board of Elections Office, 226 Government Center Dr., to review absentee ballot applications and discuss other election-related matters as needed. The Pender County Board of Elections will meet Oct. 28, 6 p.m., at 305 Walker St. to review absentee ballot applications and discuss other election-related matters as needed. Limited in-person seating will be available.
The Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet Oct. 28, 4 p.m., in the Commissioners’ Chambers, 20 Government Center Dr. to review absentee ballot applications and discuss other election-related matters as needed. Leland Planning Board will meet at Leland Fire Station 51 at 6 p.m. The agenda includes a rezoning request from Coastal Sea Breeze Rentals, LLC to rezone two parcels, 0.96 acres, from C-1, General Commercial Business District, to R-15, Medium Density Residential District.
The Pender County Schools Committee of the Whole will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Dr. Katherine Herring Resource Center, 798 U.S. Highway 117. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

Southport Board of Adjustment will meet at 113 W. Moore St., 4:30 p.m. An agenda was not posted by press.
Carolina Beach Town Council will hold a workshop at 9 a.m. The agenda includes discussion about Saint Joseph Street right-of-way parking, a text amendment discussion for Beach Services to address safety issues and ATVs on the beach, and review one-way plan for Canal Drive. Wednesday, Oct. 29
The Surf City Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex for a community meeting to discuss the town’s strategic planning. The meeting will livestream here.
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board will meet at 3 p.m. in the WMPO board room, 525 N. Fourth St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Wilmington Urban Area Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Strategic Deployment Plan
- Resolution adopting Cape Fear Navigating Change 2050 and Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s 2050 Travel Demand Model
Belville Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the NC State Highway Patrol Chambers, 63 River Road. The agenda includes an update on the Belville Riverwalk project, plus there will be a public hearing for an amendment to the zoning ordinance, regarding General Dimensional, Use and Structure Regulations.
Thursday, Oct. 30
The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will meet at 4 for an agenda review in the NHC Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. An agenda was not posted by press.
The UNCW Board of Trustees will hold committee meetings beginning at 9 a.m. in the UNCW Burney Center. The agendas include:
- Annual Security and Fire Safety Report Presentation
