Monday, June 16

The New Hanover County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. in the NHC Courthouse, 24 N. Third St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Trillium update
- Approval to purchase property at 21 S. 13th St.
The Leland Town Council will meet at 1:00 p.m. in the town hall, 102 Town Hall Drive. The agenda includes:
- Fiscal year grant overview
- Staff updates on Board and Committee Appointments
- Staff updates on Budget Communication Plan
The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers at the David R. Sandifer Administration Building on 30 Government Center Drive. The agenda includes:
- Fire department personnel subsidy
- Proposed legislation prohibiting open burning of land-clearing debris involving more than 5 contiguous acres
Kure Beach Town Council will hold a special meeting at 12 p.m. in Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is for a closed session to conduct department head evaluations and consultation with the town attorney.
Kure Beach Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes adoption of the fiscal year 25-26 budget ordinance, approval of the 2025 emergency plan, and recognition of retiring Kure Beach Police Chief Micheal Bowden.
Pender County Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m., 805 S. Walker Street. Surf City Board of Adjustment will meet at 3 p.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex, 214 W. Florence Way. An agenda was not posted by press.
Topsail Beach Town Council will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. to adopt the fiscal year 25-26 budget ordinance.
Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet at 2 p.m. in commissioners’ chambers at David R. Sandifer Building, 30 Government Center Drive NE in Bolivia. An agenda was not posted by press but the public can attend in person or via Zoom here.
Belville ABC Board will meet at Brunswick Community College, 2045 Enterprise Dr. at 6:30 p.m. The agenda includes discussion of employee raises, the 2026 budget, and getting a new accountant and auditor.
