Vance is scheduled to speak at the Aero Center at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and tickets are available here, with two tickets allowed per mobile number.
It’s the vice presidential nominee’s first visit to the Port City this election year, though he has made rounds across the state as of late.
Last week Vance was part of a public town hall in Greensboro, moderated by race car driver and Trump supporter Danica Patrick. According to media reports, Vance spoke about Helene recovery efforts in the western part of the state, as well as immigration and social security.
On Sunday, Oct. 13, he stopped at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord as part of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs but did not give remarks.
A press release from the Trump campaign indicates the candidate will speak about voting on Wednesday.
“JD Vance will encourage all eligible voters to take advantage of the different voting options available — whether by mail, early in-person, or on Election Day — and ensure their voices are heard,” according to the release. “As North Carolina plays a pivotal role in this election, Senator Vance will emphasize that every vote matters, and with widespread participation, North Carolinians can secure the future of the country.”
Vance’s visit comes less than a month after Trump also hosted an event at the Aero Center, which had been rescheduled from April after inclement weather closed the rally.
Early voting opens Oct. 17 and lasts through Nov. 2, with Election Day on Nov. 5; learn more about voting here.
