WILMINGTON — Communities In Schools of Cape Fear is calling on companies and community members to help ensure all school children have necessary supplies to shine a light this school year.

CIS will be at Office Depot Hanover Center on Oleander Drive or Staples on College Road on Aug. 14 and 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., for people to load donations.

However, early contributions can be made now across a two-county region in more than 50 participating businesses, organizations and churches.

All items will be sorted for school social workers at New Hanover and Pender public schools, handed out to students in need. A list of needed items can be found here and online donations are accepted as well here.
