
WILMINGTON — A teen has been charged with felony possession of stolen firearms.
The Wilmington Police Department arrested 18-year-old, Braxton Billings, on Wednesday, June 12, after discovering six firearms, three of which were reported stolen, along with ammunition and marijuana at a residence on North McMillian Avenue.
Police conducted a welfare check following reports of gunfire at the location. Upon arrival, officers detected the odor of drugs, prompting a search of the residence.
Billings is currently held at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond.
