The owners of the property are the heirs of Gerald and Josephine Miress and they are looking to put 62 townhomes on four parcels, which are currently zoned for moderate density residential use, or R-15. The owners are requesting the county commissioners grant them a rezoning to R-5 with a conditional district.
Per the concept plan, the community would be accessible via Carolina Beach Road and through a proposed adjacent townhome community, Pierson’s Point.
The community meeting will be held on May 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Best Western Plus, 5600 Carolina Beach Road.
