Monday, April 29
Topsail Island Shoreline Protection Commission will meet at 2 p.m. at Surf City Town Hall, 214 W. Florence Wy. The agenda includes a review of federal and state legislation activities and approval of a state letter asking to consider shellfish rules impact on business and density.
Pender County Board of Commissioners will hold a budget work session at 4 p.m. at the Pender County Public Assembly Room, 805 S. Walker St. The meeting can be livestreamed here.

Tuesday, April 30
New Hanover County Board of Elections will meet to review absentee ballots and discuss other election matters at 5 p.m. in the Longleaf Room at 1241 A Military Cutoff Rd. Pender County Board of Elections will meet at 6 p.m. at its office, 807 S. Walker St. in Burgaw, to discuss absentee ballots. It’s open to the public.
Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet at 5:30 p.m. to discuss absentee ballots. The public is welcome and the meeting will be held at the Board of Elections Office, 75 Stamp Act Drive NE, Building H, in Bolivia.
The Pender County Schools Committee of the Whole will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Dr. Katherine Herring Resource Center 798 Us Highway 117 S. Meetings are live streamed here. The agenda includes:

Topsail Beach Board of Commissioners will hold a budget workshop at 9 a.m. at Topsail Beach Town Hall, at 820 S. Anderson Blvd. The agenda includes discussion of the proposed 2024-25 budget and a presentation by First Tryon Financial Advisors.
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Finance Committee will meet at 9 a.m at 230 Government Center Dr. The agenda includes adoption of FY2025 budget ordinances and approval of $618,700 contract amendment with McKim & Creed for the Motts Creek pump station sewer force main project.
