4 Pender County stores cited for underage alcohol sales

PENDER COUNTY — Multiple convenience stores in Pender County stores have been cited for selling alcohol to customers who were underage.

A release from the Pender County Sheriff’s Office notes a compliance check was conducted at 10 stores countwide. Four were found in violation:

  • Hampstead Country Store, 14565 US Highway 17, Hampstead
  • R P Quick Stop, 4800 NC Highway 133, Rocky Point
  • Donnie’s Mini Mart, 3381 US Highway 117 South, Burgaw
  • Browns Mini Mart, 201 US Highway 117 South, Burgaw

The reports are forwarded to the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement for further investigation into the ABC violations.
