WILMINGTON — Two people have been arrested following the assault and robbery of another man.
Detro Simpson, 52, and Terry Simpson, 54, have been charged with common law robbery, assault on an individual with a disability and felony conspiracy.
This morning, shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 00 block of N. Front St. for an assault. Upon their arrival and after speaking to witnesses it was discovered that a man and woman were assaulting another man; the two were also going through the victims’ pockets. The victim suffered obvious signs of assault, but none life-threatening.
Both people were given a $20,000 secured bond and taken to the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
