BURGAW – Traffic traveling in both directions of Interstate 40 in Pender County will be interrupted for utility work later this week.

Duke Energy will need to conduct a rolling roadblock, which is anticipated to take no more than 15 minutes each, twice on the evening of March 13. The closing locations and times are:

  • 1 mile south of Exit 398 around 8 p.m.
  • 1 mile south of Exit 408 around 9 p.m.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to pay attention to crews working in this area and be patient while the roadblock is taking place.
