NEW HANOVER COUNTY — After being closed for more than four months, Cape Fear Public Utility Authority’s main offices will reopen Jan. 2.

The customer service lobby has been temporarily operating out of the New Hanover County Government Center following plumbing damage to CFPUA’s administrative building in August.

Starting Tuesday, customers will once again be able to visit 235 Government Center Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The customer service lobby will be temporarily located on the second floor as renovations are still underway.

CFPUA’s downtown lobby at 305 Chestnut St. remains open for in-person visits during regular business hours.
