BRUNSWICK COUNTY — A section of N.C. 904 in Pireway, North Carolina, will be closed for drainage improvements, followed by highway resurfacing.

The closure begins Monday, March 27, and will last through April 16. Pipes need to be replaced due to deterioration, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

New pipes, up to current standards, will be laid between Sandcastle Lane NW and Horseshoe Road NW. Drivers will be detoured onto U.S. 17, N.C. 130 and N.C. 905.

NCDOT asks drivers to proceed through works zones with caution and expect delays due to detours.

The road is slated to reopen April 17. More information can be found here
