Lanes in South Front area to shift mid-February

WILMINGTON — A utility project will have cause a shift in traffic in the South Front District later this month.

Lanes at the intersection of South Front Street and Burnett Boulevard will change overnight on Monday, Feb. 13, according to the CFPUA. Crews will be working on a water and sewer project in the area.

Traffic in both directions will be shifted temporarily into single lanes beginning at 8 p.m. The right-turn lane from Carolina Beach Road onto northbound Burnett Boulevard will remain open.

The Wilmington Police Department will direct traffic as they lane shifts begin, to remain in place until 4 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14.
