Tuesday, Aug. 30
The Wilmington Housing Authority will meet at 3 p.m. at Rankin Place Terrace, 415 N. 12th St. The Real Estate Development Committee will meet at 4 p.m. and the Policy, Administration and Finance committee will meet immediately following. The agenda includes:
- Updates from the housing taskforce
- A WHA project update
- Financial resolutions to approve billing
Wednesday, Aug. 31
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board will meet at 3 p.m. at 320 Chestnut St. The meeting can be livestreamed via Zoom. A few items on the agenda include:
- NCDOT project update presentation
- A presentation on WMPO’s direct attributable funding call for projects
- Discussion about the revised draft 2024-2033 State Transportation Improvement Program. Read PCD coverage here.
Thursday, Sept. 1
The Leland Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in town hall chambers, 102 Town Hall Dr. The meeting can be livestreamed on YouTube. The agenda includes an update on the Leland 2045 plan, a zoning map amendment and review of a land use plan.
The Burgaw Tourism Development Authority will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Historic Train Depot, 115 S. Dickerson St.
Surf City is hosting mobile office hours for staff members of Rep. David Rouzer’s office at 9 a.m. at the Surf City Municipal Complex, 214 W. Florence Way. The public is welcome to attend to discuss current issues. Rep. Rouzer will not be in attendance.
The New Hanover County Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the NHC Historic Courthouse, 24 North 3rd St. The meeting can be livestreamed on NHCTV, the NHC website and YouTube. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Pender County Board of Education will hold a special call-in only meeting at 5 p.m. to discuss the superintendent search. Portions of the meeting will be in closed session, but the public can tune in on YouTube.
