Tri-county schools check-in: NHCS records 19 Covid-19 cases in past week; BCS reports 35; PCS down to 12

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools is reporting another record low week of Covid-19 trends with 19 cases and 17 assigned quarantines the week of Oct. 18, according to the district’s online dashboard.

NHCS’ Covid-19 data is not entered in real-time. Some active cases may not be reflected until the following week’s totals are published on Friday.

Brunswick County Schools

As of Friday, Oct. 22, Brunswick County Schools is reporting 35 active Covid-19 cases. At least 80 people were assigned to quarantine as of the latest update.

Pender County Schools

Pender County Schools documented 12 cases and 68 quarantines for the week of Oct. 10 to Oct. 16, according to its latest update from Monday, Oct. 18. The school system will provide more recent data Monday on its website.
