WILMINGTON — Mayfaire has had a rolling list of tenants in its 610,000 square-foot shopping center on Military Cutoff Road throughout the past 17 years. Anchored by Regal Cinemas and Belk department store, the town center announced a new batch of businesses — eight to be exact — which have either opened or are doing so soon.

From handmade, plant-based soaps to athletic wear, a DIY arts studio inspired by the social media site Pinterest to a new Mediterranean eatery, here is the rundown of new retail spots and restaurants.

Buff City Soap

A line formed along the sidewalk Thursday morning as Buff City prepared to open at 1039 International Dr. The first 50 people were treated to free soap for a year. Buff City products are plant-based, don’t use harsh chemicals and are free of animal fats — more so, they’re made daily with nourishing ingredients. The company also sells face and shave bars, beard care, hand soap, bath and shower products, as well as laundry washes.

Located next to First Watch, the free-soap giveaway continues through Sunday, Sept. 26, for the first 50 customers each day. The store opens at 9 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

lululemon is now open and specializes in yoga, running, training, and athletic gear for both women and men. Leggings, joggers, coats, pants, shirts, shorts, swimsuits, accessories — the offerings are plenty.

lululemon will operate at 6863 Main St.

From weddings to birthday parties, room redesigns to holiday decor, Pinterest has become a go-to for creative inspiration. Now, it has a store dedicated to it.

Pinspiration is a DIY arts studio that welcomes all ages to craft and create. Materials are supplied and makers can work at their own pace with easy tutorials. The studio is situated at 865 Inspiration Drive.

Formerly known as A’Beautiful Soul — a women’s clothing brand offered in Altar’d State — Arula offers wares for mid- and plus-size shoppers. The opening is slated for Nov. 1 as the store undergoes construction at 6861 Main St.

Simply Mac

Located at 6837 Main St., next door to Banana Republic, Simply Mac puts the focus on all-things Apple. The 2,300 square-foot space is a premier partner selling Apple products plus accessories, and it offers service and warranty repairs.

My Sister’s Cottage

My Sister’s Cottage expanded and renovated into the 6869 Main St. space in Mayfaire. It sells clothing, home goods and gifts, with 10% of every purchase helping rescue women from sex trafficking. This money goes toward building cottages (safe houses), as well as providing clothing and resources that offer healing and support.

Torrid offers a trendy shopping experience for women sized 10 to 30. Owned by Sycamore Partners — which has a portfolio of retail investments, from Limited to Lane Bryant, Aeropostle to Nine West — Torrid sells jeans, dresses, pants, skirts, under garments, jackets, shoes and accessories.

Torrid will open next to H&M before Christmas at 833 Town Center Drive, Unit 115.

Zoes Kitchen may have closed Sept. 8, but Mediterranean offerings won’t be absent from Mayfaire altogether. In its place comes CAVA — a Mediterranean restaurant featuring a food assembly line that allows diners to customize their orders. CAVA offers a wide variety of bases, spreads, proteins and toppings, and will be located at 1011 International Dr.
