People may register online. No symptoms or exposure are necessary to receive the self-administered test.

The host site is located in the parking lot at Hurst and Hamilton drives, across from the Greene Track and Field Complex. Anyone visiting the site will enter campus from Hurst Drive.

According to the university, the free testing is in collaboration with the New Hanover County Health Department and made possible by the state Department of Health and Human Services. UNCW students are also able to receive free tests at the Student Health Center.

Questions should be directed to coronvirus@uncw.edu.

A statewide list of no-cost testing sites can be found on the DHHS website.
