LELAND — Ruth Proctor Mayhew, 59, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born Feb. 5, 1961, in Winnsboro, South Carolina.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Mayhew; mother, Barbara Bowers; and father, Odell Proctor.
She is survived by her daughters, Angel Mayhew and Angela Birchmore (Shannon); adopted daughter, Shana Bass; sisters, Debra Bradwell and Melissa Birchmore; and brother, Jimmy Proctor; 13 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Diamond.
She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, at her home.
