
UPDATE (10 a.m. Sunday) — The green Toyota Tacoma truck that authorities believe Sanchez was driving has been located in Rocky Point.
Sanchez was see leaving the area with a white female in a white Ford F-150 truck, according to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office.
PENDER COUNTY — Authorities are searching for Rocky Point resident Vicente Sanchez, 43 to 44 years old, who is wanted for the forcible assault of a 14-year-old girl that occurred sometime on Friday.
The forcible sexual assault charge refers to attacks where the assailant has a dangerous or deadly weapon, seriously physically injures the victim or someone else, and/or is aided and abetted by one or more others; authorities did offer specifics about the case.
Sanchez fled the area in a green Toyota Tacoma with unknown registration plates, according to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office. The truck is believed to be a 1994 to 1996 model.
“Sanchez sometimes uses the name Gabriel and owns a landscaping business called Leo’s Landscaping. His whereabouts are unknown, but it is believed he has family/friends in the Pender County area,” according to Detective Sergeant Steve Clinard.
