Update: New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies find missing teen [Free]

Update (2:15 p.m. Wednesday) — Skylar Maurice Worrell has been located and returned home, according to authorities.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find a missing 16-year-old last seen in northern New Hanover County.

According to NHCSO, Skylar Maurice Worrell​, 16, was last seen this morning at 5325 Woodhaven Drive in a residential neighborhood off of Blue Clay Road.

Skylar is described as a white male being six feet, two inches tall, weighing 165 pounds with a slim build, and having brown eyes and brown hair (“short on top, longer in back”) and a short beard. When last seen, he was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, a baseball hat, and a large backpack. Skylar is a Laney High School student.
