Railroad crossing work will close several Wilmington-area streets next week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Wilmington Police Department has announced planned railroad crossings next week.

CSX Transportation will provide detour signage in areas where closures are expected to reroute traffic.

The crossings will be repaired for routine maintenance. Scheduled times and dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

  • Marsteller Street in downtown Wilmington between 13th and 16th Street will close to traffic beginning Monday, June 1 at 7 a.m. It will reopen by Wednesday, June 3 at noon.
  • North College Road in Castle Hayne between Castle Hayne Road and Kings Castle Road will close Tuesday, June 2 at 7 a.m. It will reopen by Wednesday, June 3, at noon.
