
WILMINGTON — Police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 19-year-old on Swann Street.
“Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, officers responded to the 400 block of Swann Street in reference to a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Trev’yon Canton Marshall, 19, was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and is listed in stable but serious condition,” according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Police say that Thomas Keandre Point was arrested for the shooting on Saturday evening.
“Thomas Keandre Point, 21, was arrested Saturday evening in connection with the shooting of 19-year-old Trev’yon Marshall. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, firearm by felon and discharging firearm within city limits and is being held at the New Hanover County Jail under a $3,500,000 bond, according to police.
“Marshall is expected to survive his injuries,” the report concluded.
