
WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a ‘possible homicide’ that took the life of a 57-year-old man after a Wednesday evening shooting.
“Just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, officers responded to a shooting on Pinecrest Parkway. Upon arrival, they found Donald Wayne Gurganious suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to NHRMC, where he later passed,” according to the Wilmington Police Department.
No more information is being released at this time as the case is currently under investigation.
