Pender authorities searching for armed, masked robbers of Hampstead pharmacy store

HAMPSTEAD — Pender County deputies are searching for two people wearing coats and masks, armed with handguns, who robbed the Realo Pharmacy in Hampstead last night.

The incident took place just before 7 p.m. on Monday night, according to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office. One person entered the store wearing a black coat with a white face mask while the other entered with a green camouflaged coat with a black face mask.

The suspects then robbed the pharmacy and left on foot, according to a Pender County Sheriff’s Office release late Monday evening. The pharmacy is located on Highway 17 just northeast of Old White Marsh Road, next to Dunkin’ Donuts at 15441 US 17.

Pender deputies responded to the scene and began searching the area with the assistance of a SABLE helicopter.

“The suspects were not located after a search of the area,” Sheriff Alan Cutler said. “No one was injured during the robbery.”

Cutler also asked for anyone who may have information about the suspects to call the Pender County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 259-1212.

“Pender County Deputies will continue to search the area for suspects and gather leads,” according to the release.
