WILMINGTON — Just one year after opening in Midtown’s University Center, Aromas of Peru has opened its second location in the area, this time, in the Lumina Commons shopping center.
Last year owner Julian Herrera brought Peruvian cuisine back to Wilmington after closing his previous restaurant Golden Chicken in 2016. Herrera’s cooking pulls on the broad range of cultural influences that have taken hold in Peru over the centuries, including Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, and African.
The Lumina Commons location opened officially on Tuesday and will operate Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. — 9 p.m. and offer Sunday brunch from 7 a.m. — 2 p.m.
There’s also a new Islands in Ogden open off Gordon Road and Market Street.
The restaurant was previously located nearby on Market Street in Ogden, but the property owners sold the location, now, a carwash will take its place.
This Islands location has a full bar with 16 beers on tap, as well as a sail-boat themed play area for children. The counter-service restaurant opens at 11 a.m. daily and the bar stays open until 10 p.m.
