WILMINGTON — For some students, summer is a time to take a break from studies — but, honestly, for most, it’s a chance to pick up summer jobs, internships, summer classes, and of course volunteer opportunities.
If you (or someone you know) are still looking to give back this summer, don’t worry: there’s still plenty of time, and plenty of places to volunteer your time. Here’s five in the Wilmington area (have one to suggest? Let us know in the comments).
- Lumina Academy
Lumina Academy is home to some amazing students from high schools to universities across America contributing to its mission to help under-privileged students around the globe in their education through technology. Whether it’s through Pen Pal programs or site visit summer programs, there are many opportunities to volunteer.
