WILMINGTON–X-It Rooms opens in Wilmington, offering a new unique escape room experience just in time for summer.

X-It currently has two theme rooms: TSA, where participants can play as a TSA agent, and Zombie Experiment. Zombie Experiment, in particular, is not for the faint of heart, as it begins with each participant blindfolded, handcuffed, and chained to a wall. A third room will be opened on July 3rd, ominously titled “World War 3.”

According to Co-Owner Chris Scarberry, X-It stands apart from other Wilmington escape rooms by being the only escape room in town with rooms small enough for two people as opposed to large groups, as well as offers private booking so there’s no need to worry about ending up in a room with strangers — if that’s something customers are looking to avoid.

“We realized that there are many people who enjoy escape rooms, but like to do them with a friend or significant other, we try to provide an environment where a couple or small group could enjoy an escape room without being mixed with others, or spending a bunch of money to get a private room,”  Scarberry said.

X-It Rooms is currently offering discounts for law enforcement, EMS, fire department, and military personnel, as well as discounted nights for students, ladies and ‘gents’ nights.
