
LELAND — Grab a lawn chair and a friend, Leland’s Concerts in the Park free spring concert series has arrived.
Starting Thursday through the first week of June, Leland Parks and Recreation will host a variety of musical acts at the town’s spacious municipal park.

First up, the British Invaders. Playing 60s-era English rock, the British Invaders will be accompanied by CheeseSmith Co., a food truck new to the town’s concert roster.
“This spring will have everything from beach music to folk rock to party bands,” Amy Wells, Leland’s Parks and Recreations supervisor, said.
A different food truck will be on the scene each Thursday during the series for each new band. Listeners are encouraged to bring a blanket, lawn chair, and their friends and family to enjoy the show.
Coolers are welcome, and alcoholic beverages for adults over 21 are permitted. Wells said the town asks that participants only bring beer and wine, and to avoid bringing glass beverage containers as well.
The two-hour shows begin Thursday, April 25, and last through June 6 at the Leland Municipal Park.
Each concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. Check out the Concerts in the Park schedule below:

- May 9 – Jim Quick & Coastline, 2 Bros Coastal Cuisine food truck
- May 30 – Painted Man, Bill’s Front Porch Brew food truck
- June 6 – L Shape Lot, Urban Street Eats food truck
