Wilmington Police investigating hit-and-run after man hit by truck on Randall Parkway

According to police, the man was in the crosswalk when he was hit by a truck that then fled the scene.

WILMINGTON — Authorities are still investigating a hit-and-run from last month that left a victim with “apparent broken bones.”

According to a Wilmington Police Department (WPD) report, a 56-year-old Wilmington man was struck in the crosswalk on the 4000 block of Randall Parkway near Anne McCrary Park. The incident took place on Saturday, March 23, around 9:50 p.m.

The man was hit by a truck which then fled the scene, according to WPD spokesperson Jennifer Dandron. Police responded to the scene to find EMS attending to the victim.
