WILMINGTON — An oral surgeon is behind bars after Wilmington Police arrested him for multiple sex crimes allegations.
Michael Lee Hasson, 55 was arrested on Thursday and was charged with three counts of sexual battery and one count second-degree forcible sex offense, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
“Hasson, an oral surgeon at Wilmington Oral Surgery on Floral Parkway, is accused of sexually abusing at least four of his patients between 2017 to the present while they were under anesthesia. The patients, all female, range between 17 and 21 years of age. Hasson is currently being held at New Hanover County Jail on a $1.25 million bond. Additional charges are forthcoming,” WPD said in a press release.
