Update: New Hanover Sheriff’s Office says missing 14-year-old girl is home safe

Update Jan. 16, 9 a.m. — According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, “Adashia Henry was returned home by a family member, thanks to everyone who helped in finding her and returning her home safely.”

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO) is asking for the public’s help to find a 14-year-old New Hanover High School student.

Adashia Henry, 14, was last seen on Friday, Jan. 11, at 1307 Market St. (New Hanover High School).

Adashia is African American, 5 feet, 4 inches, 107 pounds, with a medium build, according to NHCSO. She has brown eyes, and black and brown hair in box braids.

According to NHCSO, “Adashia was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a white in color long sleeved shirt. She was also wearing a black hoodie light jacket, wearing multicolored Air max shoes.”

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at 910-798-4200.
