Here are several events planned around town on New Year’s Eve:

Blue Water Grill

Ring in the new year on the Intracoastal at one of Blue Water Grill’s two planned events. On the restaurant’s second floor, Uptown Easy will play live music, while on the first floor, DJ Sir Charles will play from a tented and heated patio.

Tickets to both events are on sale now for $20. Ahead of the celebrations, Bluewater Grill is offering a three-course dinner for $45.

Burnt Mill Creek Billards & Wine Bar

Rock in the new year with Cheyenne Champion and Friendly Fire. Burnt Mill Creek Billards & Wine Bar will host the show, from 9:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.

Burnt Mill Creek Billards & Wine Bar is located off Market Street near downtown.
Look out for more details on the event’s Facebook page.

NYE on the water at Marina Grill

Celebrate the new year on the river at Marina Grill. The riverfront venue asks its guests to “dress to impress” for its new year’s occasion. For $10, Marina Grill is offering general admission pre-sale tickets, that will cost $20 at the door. The tickets include a champagne toast at midnight.

Limited dinner reservations are available before the party starts,, which includes a free New Year’s Eve ticket. VIP tables are also available.

Ticket information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.

Retro Disco at with the Beehive Blondes

Turn back time while ringing in the new year with a retro disco at Tails Piano Bar. The Beehive Blondes will start the dance party at 9:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. The DJ-duo will spin old school tunes for the event, with tickets available in advance for $25.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased in person or over the phone at 910-399-6428.

New Year’s Eve Comedy at Dead Crow

For a different take on New Year’s Eve, Dead Crow Comedy Club is hosting New York comic Rosebud Baker. Tickets are $17 for two showings; one from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a second from 9:30 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Located downtown on North Front Street, more information on the show can be found on the event’s Facebook page.

Waterline Brewing Company’s Any Shade of Masquerade

Waterline Brewing Company is hosting a free masquerade this New Year’s Eve. Located downtown under the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the brewery will have masks available for “last minute takers.”

Joe Love’s Lobster Rolls will be on site from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Striking Copper will play live music between 9 p.m. and midnight. At midnight, the brewery is offering complimentary champagne — or beer — toast.
