WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is searching for Chadrick Tywain Conyers-Hall, a convicted felon who physically assaulted Wilmington Fire Chief Cecil Martinette.

Conyers-Hall, 27, allegedly assaulted Martinette on Tuesday, Dec. 11, around 6 p.m. Martinette had responded to a traffic crash near the intersection of 16th and Dock streets; Conyers-Hall was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, which is how WPD was able to identify him.

According to North Carolina Department of Public Safety records, Conyers-Hall has a long criminal history, with numerous convictions for burglary, breaking and entering, larceny, possession, and assault on a female; he recently finished an 11-month sentence in New Hanover County for felony possession and assaulting an officer.
