WILMINGTON — The live, mobile version of the famous television game show The Price is Right will be coming to the Wilson Center in March.

Tickets for The Price is Right Live will go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, Dec. 7 (information below). The show is set for March 24 at 7 p.m.

“The Price is Right is the longest-running game show in television history and loved by generations of viewers,” Wilson Center spokesperson Sonya Johnson said in a Monday afternoon release. “This on-stage traveling version gives fans the chance to experience the same thrilling excitement of winning big, up close and in-person.”

Johnson said the live version of the show has given away more than $12 million in cash and prizes in cities across North America since its premiere in 2003.

The show will allow contestants to play some of the television show’s classic games like Plinko Time, Cliffhangers, Bid $1, Spin the Big Wheel, and the Fabulous Showcase — all after they hear the famous welcome by the host, “Come on down!” Participants will compete for cash, appliances, vacations — and possibly a brand new car.

Hosts of the live show have included movie actor Mark Wahlberg and talk show host Jerry Springer.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, Dec. 7 beginning at 10 a.m. You can purchase tickets online at capefearstage.com and wilsoncentertickets.com, and in-person or by phone at the Wilson Center (910-362-7999) starting at 2 p.m.
