Nine Wilmington-area Harris Teeter grocer stores will open Sunday morning

For those who stayed behind, supplies are running low. Here's some good news.

WILMINGTON — Much of the Cape Fear area has been without power for several days, and many grocery stores have been closed since Tuesday. While the region slowly gets power back, basics like groceries are increasing a priority.

Port City Daily has reached out to other several major chain grocery retailers and will have an update as soon as possible. In the meantime, Harris Teeter Representative Danna Robinson responded that nine of the company’s Wilmington-area stores will open Sunday morning, including one in Leland and one in Hampstead.

Store openings are also scheduled for New Bern, Greenville, and Fayetteville.

The following stores will be open Sunday, September 16, according to the company’s Florence-specific webpage.
