Waterford asphalt paving project begins, will last through September

An asphalt paving project has begun in Waterford. Town crews are expected to continue work through late September.

LELAND — Residents of the Waterford of the Carolinas community may begin experiencing a new traffic pattern in the coming days.

On Monday, Leland began an asphalt paving project in Waterford.

Single lane closures are expected to last through late September. Jacqueline Harlow, a spokesperson for Leland, said in post on the social media site Nexdoor that streets in the neighborhood are expected to remain open during the project.

Harlow asked drivers to remain alert to traffic pattern changes as the work is completed over a 45-day period.
