WILMINGTON—The former home to hhgregg in Mayfaire Town Center will now serve as the location of a 28,000-square-foot trampoline park and is scheduled for a July opening.

“Flip N Fly will be debuting the safest, state of the art trampoline equipment for the first time on the East Coast, their focus is centered around safety giving the consumer the best products available on the market,” a press release states.

Plans for the Mayfaire Flip N Fly include trampolines, dodgeball, foam pits, professional ninja course, and aerial obstacles. In addition, Flip N Fly will include a cafe, lounge, and games, according to the release.

After its closing last year, the hhgregg location served temporarily as Halloween City, but has remained vacant of any long-term lessees.

The facility will be able to host birthday parties, corporate events, field trips, summer camps, fundraisers, and other events, the release states.

“Our greatest sense of joy is being locally owned and operated,” Keith Avant, partner with Flip N Fly said through the release. “We look forward to hiring 40-45 employees in the coming weeks and opening as soon as possible.”
