CAROLINA BEACH—Undercover officers and detectives with the Carolina Beach Police Department arrested two Wilmington men Wednesday.
At around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, the Carolina Beach Police Department stopped the two men on the 700 block of North Lake Park Boulevard. Police arrested Jeffery Thomas Head, 24, and Daniel Glenn Craft, 26.
Officers seized 16 grams of methamphetamine, 22 grams of marijuana and two semi-automatic pistols; as both Head and Craft are convicted felons, neither are permitted to possess firearms.
Craft has prior felony convictions for breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Head has several felony convictions for breaking and entering.
A New Hanover County Magistrate gave Craft a $300,000 secured bond; Head received a slightly higher $302,000 secured bond.
Both men are currently detained at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office detention center.
He was charged with the following criminal charges:
- Possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, marijuana
- Two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon
- Maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of selling drugs
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Head was charged with the following criminal charges:
- Possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, marijuana
- Two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Failure to appear in court
