It’s election day, keep track of election results here

SOUTHEAST N.C.—The polls have officially closed for the North Carolina 2018 primary elections. Votes still have to be counted but results can be found online through the North Carolina State Board of Elections interactive website.

In the region there are two larger campaigns for this primary election, the Republican candidate for Pender County Sheriff, and the Republican candidates vying for a spot on the November ballot.

Results from each precinct will be submitted to the State Board of Elections and updated throughout the evening. Results are not considered official until local election boards complete a canvass of the votes.

Port City Daily will follow the election throughout the evening and will provide election results as they are reported.
