Update: Wilmington Police Department searching for missing 16-year-old girl

Update: Megan Batson was located on Jan. 3. According to the Wilmington Police Department, Batson returned home safely.

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a girl who went missing last week.

Megan Batson, a 16-year-old girl, was last seen around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. She was last seen near the intersection of Lake Avenue and 41st Street in Wilmington.

According to the police, Megan Baston was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans and tall brown boots. She has dyed red hair, brown eyes, and is 5 foot 1 inch tall.
