Updated 4:32 p.m. — According to the Wilmington Police Department, James Terry turned himself over to authorities shortly after this afternoon’s news release. He was arrested by the WPD.

WILMINGTON—The Wilmington Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man suspected of scamming multiple cell phone stores.

According to the news release, James Terry, 47, poses as a pastor of various area churches, obtains cell phones from the stores and charges them to a business account.

Terry is suspected of running this scam in other jurisdictions. The warrant is for the possession of stolen goods.
