Here’s where Wilmington City Council candidates stand on the issues

The 2017 Wilmington City Council election features nine candidates vying for three open seats.

With so many candidates – and a wide range of contentious issues – it can be overwhelming trying to get an overview of the field. Additionally, not ever voter will be concerned with every issue when they go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

To help break down the choices Wilmington residents have in this year’s election, Port City Daily has compiled an election matrix, a quick and easy guide to the candidates and where they stand on the Port City’s pressing issuing.

All nine candidates where asked the same eight questions, and you can jump directly to their answers below.

  • How would address the opioid crisis?
