WILMINGTON — After making an appearance off Oak Island Wednesday, tagged great white shark Hilton continued his trek north, making a stop off the coast of Wilmington Friday morning.
The shark tracking site OCEARCH reports 12 ft. male off the coast of the Port City at 9:23 p.m. Thursday evening.
OCEARCH reports Hilton was tagged off of Hilton Head Island S.C. last month during an expedition to South Carolina. The Shark has steadily been moving north since then.
Earlier this week, he was accompanied on his journey to North Carolina by 8 ft. female white shark Savannah. Savannah’s last reported position pinged off the coast of Oak Island earlier this week.
