NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Five people were arrested after detectives seized drugs and firearms from a home on Sixth Street.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office received information about heroin sales and use at 1108 N. Sixth St., according to sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office, in partnership with the FBI’s Coastal Carolina Criminal Enterprise Task Force and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, seized 123 bags of heroin, 7 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms from the home.
As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested Willie Baldwin, Sabrina Bell, Anthony Thames and Bruce Stewart.
Themes, 57, has been charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, delaying, and obstruct and officer. He was booked at the New Hanover County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
Baldwin, 65, was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was booked at the New Hanover County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
Bell, 49, was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and was booked under a $12,000 secured bond. Both Baldwin and Bell were additionally charged with selling liquor without a permit and selling untaxed paid liquor.
Stewart, 53, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin.
