PENDER COUNTY — Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Rocky Point man charged with several sex offenses involving a teenage girl.
Lewis William Willoughby Sr., 36, was arrested on March 29, for several offenses, including three counts of statutory rape of 13, 14, or 15 year old victim and three counts of statutory sex offense of a 13, 14, or 15 year old, according to Pender County Sheriff’s Capt. James Rowell.
“The arrest was the culmination of an investigation in which the victim reported Willoughby had engaged in sex acts with her over several months,” Rowell said.
The victim in this case is a 14-year-old girl, he said.
Willoughby, of 71 Honeysuckle Drive in Rocky Point, was booked at the Pender County jail under a $1 million secured bond.
