
WILMINGTON — Three members of the Port City Pirates, Wilmington’s premier wrestling club, traveled to St.Louis, Missouri to wrestle on the North Carolina National Team at the NCAA Middle School Showcase.
Mark Samuel (90 lbs), Hunter Campbell (112 lbs), and Conner Johnson (120 lbs) not only got to wrestle this weekend, but they also got to watch the NCAA Division 1 National Wrestling Championships.

Hunter went 4-0 for the weekend, Conner went 2-2, and Mark went 1-3.
About the Port City Pirates: Port City Pirates offers wrestling for elementary and middle school aged athletes. The goal of the Port City Pirates is to introduce the sport of wrestling to athletes at a young age through practice, training, and competitions. Coaches will provide a fun and exciting atmosphere through top level coaching. Training will focus on providing basic techniques and fundamentals by a variety of coaches with more than a combined 30 years of experience.
