Four more arrested in Brunswick County drug sweeps

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Four more offenders have joined the dozens arrested last weekend by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit after multiple investigations into illegal drug activity throughout the county.

Last week, the Sheriff John Ingram’s Office credited community complaints and tips for triggering various investigations across Brunswick that lead arrests Sunday and Monday. Those arrested range in age from 16 to 67 and the drugs vary from cocaine and heroin to marijuana and other controlled substances.

“More arrests are expected in the upcoming days and weeks as the investigations continue,” a press release from Ingram’s office stated.”(Sheriff Ingram) would like to thank the community for continuing to share tips with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and encourages others to do the same.”

Arrests announced Monday, Feb. 27 include:

Brandon Lamar Stevenson, 27, of Burnice Lane, Bolivia, was charged with conspiring to sell/deliver heroin. On Monday, he was being held on $1,010,000 bond.

Justin Antwain Garvin, 25, of Pete’s Way, Supply, was charged with conspiring to sell/deliver marijuana. On Monday, he was being held on $1 million bond.

Diamanta Freeman, 22, of Evabs Circle, Shallotte, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana, conspiring to sell/deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony probation violation. On Monday, he was being held on $1,005,000 bond.

Montrell Bellamy, 20, no address given, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin, selling/delivering heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana, conspiring to sell/deliver marijuana, and possess drug paraphernalia. On Monday, he was ordered held on $1 million bond.

Arrests reported last week include:

Marci Lynn Gardiner, 47, of Erin Place, Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with possession heroin and possession drug paraphernalia.

Kenneth Joseph Mcmillian, 58, of Strawberry Way, Shallotte, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin and selling/delivering heroin.

Alexander George Karagiannis, 37, of Knotts Landing, Bolivia, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ashton Brooke Edwards, 27, of Charles Street, Holden Beach, was charged with trafficking opium/heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Avery William Huff, 16, of Burlington Street, Southport, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Belinda Faye Moss, 52, of Edgewater Drive, Shallotte, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute a schedule II controlled substance and selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance.

Christian Scott Anderson, 17, of Fieldcrest Drive, Southport, was charged with was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana, selling/delivering marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Crystal Gail Ballard, 33, of New Britton Loop Road, Ash, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Daniel Wayne Willetts Jr., 22, of Caison Loop Road, Winnabow, was charged with conspiring to sell/deliver a schedule III controlled substance, selling/delivering a schedule III controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute a schedule III controlled substance.

Dalton O’brian Bessent Jr., 18, of Dare Street, Supply, was charged with trafficking opium/heroin, conspiring to sell/deliver heroin, two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, assault on a female, possessing marijuana and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin.

Demond Ca’quan Conyers, 18, of Main St., Leland, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana and selling/delivering marijuana.

Donald Wright, 22, of Tanner Road, Shallotte, was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ezekiel David Mcknight, 24, of Carter Street, Shallotte, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine, selling/delivering cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jeffrey Brian Sullivan, 29, of Canterbury Street, Bolivia, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine and selling/delivering cocaine.

Jerry Windham, 23, of Lords Branch Road, Winnabow, was charged with selling/delivering a class II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Leverne Pelzer, 38, of S. 8th Street, Wilmington, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin, two counts of selling/delivering heroin, improper maintenance of a vehicle, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Marvin Joe Bernard, 50, of Midway Road, Boliva, was charged with three counts of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine and three counts of selling/delivering cocaine.

Melvin Lavern Mason Jr., 32, of Sunset Harbor Road, Bolivia, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine, selling/delivering cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael Warren Oliver, 35, Blue Water St., Southport, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine, two counts of selling/delivering cocaine and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Noah Douglas Jackson, 18, of Kings Drive, Leland, was charged with conspiring to sell/deliver heroin.

Okey Emmanuel Palmore II, 32, of Mission Hope Road, Winnabow, was charged with with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana and selling/delivering marijuana.

Phillip Scott Hewett, 20, of Candlewood Court, Bolivia, was charged with
charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin, selling/delivering heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rashawn Devon Holden, 26, of Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine, selling/delivering cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rica Danielle Brown, 35, of Pine Needle Lane, Longwood, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine, selling/delivering cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

River Justice Boyd, 17, Waldon Pond Lane, Southport, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute a schedule VI controlled substance, selling/delivering a schedule VI controlled substance, two counts of selling/delivering marijuana, two counts of selling/delivering marijuana and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Rober Dennis, 51, of Seashore Road, Supply, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute a schedule II controlled substance, selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Royce Beasley, 44, of Civietown Road, Supply, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Scott Asbury, 18, of Fieldcrest Road, Southport, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana, selling/delivering marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wayne Legaughn King, 55, of Mulberry Road, Shallotte, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine and selling/delivering cocaine.

William Franklin Deitz, 42, of Charlestown Street, Southport, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute a schedule II controlled substance and selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance.

William Borgeson, 67, of Lanvale Road, Leland, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute marijuana and selling/delivering marijuana.

Willie Deon Swain, 42, of Jade Court, Leland, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute cocaine and selling/delivering cocaine.

Wilma Lee Batten, 66, of Village Road, Leland, was charged with conspiring to sell/deliver an opiate/heroin and conspiring to traffic an opiate/heroin.

Donald Ray Davis, 39, of Truesdale Road, Wilmington, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/or distribute heroin and selling/delivering heroin.
