UPDATED, Dec. 7, 10:46 a.m.: Cassie Marie Garrett has been located and returned to her home.
NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Sheriff’s detectives are seeking assistance from the public in locating 16-year-old Cassie Marie Garrett, a missing New Hanover High School Student.
Cassie was last seen at the high school, located at 1307 Market St. on Monday, Dev. 5, according to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer. She could possibly be in the Lumberton, North Carolina area.
Cassie is a white female who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, who has a medium build and weighs about 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and long dirty-blonde hair down to the middle of her back.
The missing teen was last seen wearing a white shirt, grey jacket, and black leggings with a design.
